The reviews Perry writes do, in fact, start strong. Perry is a decent enough writer with C+/B- writing skills. Perry’s writing weighs heavy on recapping the movies, which can be very enjoyable for those reading summary heavy reviews. There tends to be a little background info with a quickly wrapped up analysis that doesn’t provide much in the way of point-counterpoint. Ultimately, Perry writes on a level in the ether of Near Hack and Critical Fan with room to grow.
